St Joseph's Parish

St Joseph's parish mission begun in 1888 and the current church building opened in 1915. At the beginning, many of the parishoners were of Irish origin. Nowadays, the parish population continues to flourish with many parishoners coming from India, Africa and Europe.

The parish serves the spiritual needs of catholic community in southern Manchester through daily celebration of the Holy Mass, Adoration and creating opportunities to visit the Blessed Sacrament during the day. There are also opportunities to get involved in the community life, such as volunteering, joining the choir, readers or youth clubs.
